Author Biography

Chad McDonald, Manchester Metropolitan University

Chad McDonald is a Senior Academic and Study Skills Tutor at Manchester Metropolitan University and Managing Editor of the Journal of Learning Development in Higher Education. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Bristol, where his research examined how individuals working across civil society shaped Holocaust remembrance in postwar London. His interests include student transition and approaches to learning in higher education, and he contributes to the national Learning Development community through his work with the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE). He is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and an ALDinHE Senior Fellow.
