About the Journal
Aims and Scope
JLDHE is published by the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE), and is aimed at those interested in all aspects of how learning is facilitated and how it is experienced by students in higher education. For further details follow the link to the association's website.
We publish papers from a wide range of authors, including learning developers and academics whose practice aligns with the values of Learning Development.
Learning Development is a field of practice concerned with how students learn and how they make sense of and get the most out of HE learning. It is the practice of working alongside students to enable them to achieve their goals and reach their potential by teaching, demystifying, and challenging academic practices and conventions.
Learning Development (LD) professionals are scholarly, research-informed practitioners who teach, facilitate, and provide support and advocacy for students.
